Nothing comes for free in this world provided by God. And not even the Cause fought in His name comes for free. So we must establish our own national economies, and ways to make money for the Cause.
I remember posting some interesting articles from WikiHow back in Micro Wiki. I found them and I would like to share them for you. I believe the key to success is an economy as independent as possible in the sense of production, while using a currency from another state would be a very beneficial exception. There are some details we could work up, and we have yet to look further into more articles, or other good sources.
In this spoiler I leave you the content:
Traditional Labor
Leatherworking:
Guide to tanning a hide
Few links on what to do with produced leather:
Leather Bracelets
Shoulder bag
Shoulder bag
Metalworking:
Your workers need tools to well, work, right?
Entire category with guides on metal casting. Applies to all low melting point metals that can be easily molten and cast in molds.
Article on Blacksmithing. Iron has a higher melting point than all the other metals known in ancient times, so it will need a different procedure.
Guide to build a metal furnace for casting.
Guide to easy charcoal making. Charcoal makes an excellent fuel for traditional smithing. Propane gas is a quick alternative, but it's non renewable. Not if we can turn algae into crude oil!
Pottery:
For many uses, read below
How to make a clay pot. Pots have many uses, from storage to having plants grown on them to be used in metalworking for crucibles. (If you will do the last thing make sure the pot is rather big and has a cylindrical shape, also make sure it is bold and thick, to hold the weight of the metal, and make sure it is really clay, as clay resists huge temperatures).
Make a clay pot by wheel. More focused guide on the Potter's wheel method.
How to knead clay. You will need to knead your clay to avoid cracking when fired or laid to dry in the sun.
Category: Clay Projects from WikiHow. Much other ways of working clay.
How to build a ceramic kiln. You need a kiln to fire pottery so that it is dried enough for use.
