So recently I was looking at the MicroWiki article on micronational classification systems and I thought to myself, "what if there was one that quantified how Catholic a micronation is?" Today I present to you the fruits of this train of thought, a rough draft of the "EOST Classification System of Micronational Catholicity." catholic micronational classification system.pdf (176.77 KB) What do you guys think? If you like the idea, maybe the Order can keep an official list of several micronations and how they rate on our scale. Any thoughts on how it can be improved or what additional categories should be added? And fun fact: under the system as it is currently set up Quailia has a score of 4.

I think it's good. Maybe we could attach the list to the microwiki article. I am surprised Quailia only has a score of 4. One would think that it would be slightly larger. But I suppose there are some things.

I think it is a good start, but there is room for some improvement in the ranking. I'm not sure exactly what needs improvement, but I'll tell you when I figure it out.

You could include regarding the Official religion
2 - Has Union of Church and State, or it's a Catholic Theocracy

I didn't think about that, Paulus, but there are several definitions of theocracy, ranging from a pro-religious government all the way to clerics ruling in the name of God. What kind of theocracy are you referring to?

I would like to thank Paolo for helping me pin down my issue with this classification system. I think my main problem with this system is that it seems too polar. It's only good or bad, there isn't much in between. If we made it a scale from +2 to -2, that would allow for more median scores.

Good point, Connor. I'll see what I can do to make it better and add more options.

Currently, Mallanor has a score of 7 also, but the nation is still developing a government, so that will change. The only issue I noticed is in regards to nations that might not have specific laws regarding the topics, but still opposes or supports them. That happened to Mallanor because we have no laws about Pro-life topics, but we support the cause.
