Ah, the most controversial part of politics is the military. However, in the cruel world we live in today, I guess the most secessionist micronations will need armies, not to wreck havoc on a "Fort Sumter" kind of battle, just to melt the pot of secessionist warfare. We need to show to the world that we are going serious, and my tactic to do that will be armed neutrality. Therefore, I have researched ways to being raising my own army. Although I'm still too young to do that, and to own firearms, I've found out training methods for troops. I've studied military strategy and history. A good exercise was putting myself in the place of Generals through history to see how I would have won their wars. However, I was lucky enough to find the US Marine corps combat manual, and I am willing to read it. However, I am interested in finding more information on military, and I have identified 4 basic fields: - Manufacturing (or improvisation) of firearms, ammunition and other weapons
- Physical and combat training
- Strategy and tactics
- Field medicine
If you can assist me on finding some information, feel free to post it here. Everything is welcome. We can even discuss how we would organize our respective armies, and the proposed Military branch of our Order.

I doubt I have the skills or patience to make something as ambitious as an AK-47, but it's certainly a good skill to have. Thanks for sharing.

Well, in Russia, it isn't Mr. Putin who manufactures AK-47s. He has private companies to do that job (Izhmash). You can do the same.

This one is a golden piece of information. How to make 9mm ammo, an old classic! Casting the lead bullets Nitrocellulose, or gun cotton, is a good propeller The bullet casings Bullet primers Just in case you don't know the parts, these pictures explain it pretty well The bullets work because when you pull the trigger of your firearm, the mechanism pushes the primer, which creates an exothermic chemical reaction, with enough energy to detonate the propellant (which can be smokeless powder or guncotton) inside the bullet case. This will set off the bullet, and normally, the firearm has a mechanism to get rid of the now useless cases. Here's a list of firearms compatible with 9 x 19 mm parabellum bullets. I actually have thought on one day creating a replica Luger Pistol to use them. But that is long term. I have more useful things to do for now than getting in trouble improvising firearms... Well, I hope it helps somehow

It will, if, God forbid, I ever have to actually fight for Quailia. I hope it never comes to that.

Indeed. Warfare is no joke, but it never hurts to have a box of ammo or two just in case, right?
I'll work next on gathering information on how to make 7,62 x 39mm, the ammo used in AK 47s like the guide on top of the thread.

True. Who was it that said, "He who seeks peace, prepare for war?"

As St. Agustine says, a war is Just when it is fought for a good Cause and with the Goal of achieving peace in mind.

That is true. Though if I find myself fighting in a war, I'd much rather it be one where I'm the defender.

So, I like this video. It could be a clue to find our way in creating a firearm for 9mm ammunition! In the spoiler additional videos will be displayed: The 7,62 x 39 mm
Bullet casting and reloading
Cleaning and restoring worn out casings
The Shotgun
Making shotgun shells
Shotgun shredders!
Shotgun wax slugs!

I recently found a list of all of the United States Field Manuals. I believe they're made for the individual soldier, but there is a lot of good information about tactics, improvised weapons, shelters, hand to hand combat, etc. www.globalsecurity.org/military/library/policy/army/fm/

Behold, my designs for Trebian army uniforms. GymnastyorkaThis is a Gymnastyorka, a military jacket used by the Imperial Russian Army from the 1870s until the Russian Civil War. I have thought on restoring use of this old style of military vestment. This is my inspiration. Of course I plan to change the color, and perhaps add some pockets too. The color I thought of using is This green (Color hex: 274000 visible here) although I have considered using camo. But I prefer clothing of a single color because I think it camouflages better than camo. Military capsAbove is a depiction of two caps. The first one is a visor cap inspired by Imperial Russia, just that unlike the Gymnastroyka visor caps are still used today. The second one is a beret, inspired by the Spanish Carlistas (conservative monarchists that backed the Habsburg dynasty). The beret will have a bronze pin with the National Coat of Arms. The color I will use for the beret and the top of the visor cap is roughly this red (Color hex: 930000 visible here). The frontal cover of the visor cap will be black, and in the front of the visor cap a small pin of a red cross in a white background. There are other vestments of course. Such include steel toe boots, trousers and black shirts under the Gymnastyorka. However I did not draw them because the Gymnastyorka and both caps are something very unique of the Trebian army, and there isn't anything special enough for me to draw them. But surely you get somehow my idea for the uniform. I have thought was well on the military ranks to employ for the Trebian army as well as the divisions. I'll work on it and tell you later.

I haven't decided on a field uniform for the Mallanorian Armed Forces, but I have a basic idea for a dress uniform for at least the army: This was made a while ago by someone who can actually draw, so it doesn't take into account that I've opted to use shoulder boards to identify rank. I have also made a list of ranks for each branch. The ranks take ideas from many countries, such as the US, UK, Canada, and Germany. Army: Army Officer: Field Marshal (Honorary) General Lieutenant General Major General Brigadier General Colonel Lieutenant Colonel Major Captain Lieutenant Officer Cadet
Army Enlisted Sergeant Major Master Sergeant Staff Sergeant Sergeant Master Corporal Corporal Lance Corporal Private Recruit
Navy: Navy Officer: Fleet Admiral (Honorary) Admiral Vice Admiral Rear Admiral Commodore Captain Commander Lieutenant Commander Lieutenant Midshipman Officer Cadet
Navy Enlisted: Chief Petty Officer 1st Class Chief Petty Officer 2nd Class Petty Officer 1st Class Petty Officer 2nd Class Master Sailor Leading Sailor Able Sailor Sailor Apprentice Sailor Recruit
Air Force: Air Force Officer: Marshal of the Air Force (Honorary) Chief Air Marshal Air Marshal Air Vice Marshal Air Commodore Group Captain Wing Commander Squadron Leader Flight Lieutenant Flight Officer Officer Cadet
Air Force Enlisted: Chief Master Sergeant Senior Master Sergeant Master Sergeant Sergeant Master Corporal Corporal Lance Corporal Aviator Basic Aviator Recruit
I'm still working on organization, as I don't know how it works.
