Hello, and welcome to the official forum of the Equestrian Order of Saint Thomas! Let me introduce myself. My name is Benedict Baughman and I am the founder and current Grand Master of the Equestrian Order of Saint Thomas, as well as the administrator of this forum.
Speaking as Grand Master, I would like to express the high hopes I have for the Order of Saint Thomas. To my knowledge, the Order is the first micronational Catholic organization of its type. As we are the first, I truly believe that we can achieve much for ourselves, our micronations, and the world. As most of you probably already know, the majority of micronationalists are atheists, or at least secularists. This saddens me; micronationalism, the pursuit of freedom by those oppressed, is a noble enterprise, and like all things it should influence and be influenced by our faith. By joining together those of us with similar ideals, I believe that we can create a vibrant Catholic micronational culture, as well as improve the greater micronational culture. These are the reasons why I founded the EOST and the reasons why I think it can be exceptional.
Speaking as Forum Admin, I'd like to welcome visitors and members to this forum. The EOST will be a dynamic organization requiring open communication and a vibrant community surrounding it; that is what this forum is for. I hope to create a community here that will support and assist in the goals of the greater EOST.
I hope to get to know all of you in the near future. Let's do this!
