When I showed the design to the Chief of Staff, he saw this and proclaimed that Saint Andrew was the new patron of the Air Force. I always joke that with so many patron saints, God would be on our side if we ever decide to violently secede.

Being the head of government, I think it has been very nice for me to have such a strong role model in Saint Thomas. He was a man of the world; he was rich, he was powerful, he had all the right connections. However, he did not let himself belong to the world; although he served an earthly king, he also remembered that his first duty was to his Heavenly King. As a micronationalist, this is something I try to do in my own life. Although I may be a leader of my micronation, I must constantly remind myself that God is the one true leader, and that this kingdom is just a stepping stone to the everlasting Kingdom of God.
